Damongo Outreach Project:
Reaching Mothers,
Strengthening Communities
OUR STORY
Bringing Hope To Mothers and Newborns in Damongo
In October, The Hello Life Project embarked on one of its most impactful outreach initiatives to date in Damongo. Our team travelled from Accra to the Savannah Region with a shared mission: to support mothers, celebrate newborn life, and strengthen the bonds that hold our communities together.
Our outreach reached over 150 mothers across two healthcare facilities: St. Anne’s Hospital, Damongo and Damongo Town Clinic. Each interaction reinforced our belief that every mother deserves care, dignity, and encouragement during one of the most important journeys of her life.

WHAT WE DID
Supporting Mothers with Care and Dignity
At the heart of the outreach was our commitment to providing practical support to mothers and newborns.
Essential maternal and newborn care packages were distributed to mothers, helping to meet immediate needs while promoting the health, comfort, and wellbeing of both mother and child.
We also donated additional supplies to support families and healthcare facilities:
- 3 Gallons of Cooking Oil
- 2 Bags of Rice
- 4 Cartons of Sardines
- 2 Crates of Mackerel
- Baby Wash & Hygiene Supplies for Pediatric Ward
MORE THAN DONATIONS
The Power of Human Connection
While the supplies we distributed were important, some of the most meaningful moments came through simple human connection. Our volunteers spent time speaking with mothers, listening to their stories, sharing encouragement, and celebrating the arrival of their newborns.
One particularly touching experience was meeting a baby in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) whose mother was not present. We were deeply moved by the compassion of a volunteer who had stepped forward to care for the child.
Witnessing such selfless service reminded us that community is often revealed in life's most vulnerable moments
THE SPIRIT OF COMMUNITY
At The Hello Life Project, we believe that no person thrives alone.
At The Hello Life Project, we believe that no person thrives alone.
Every child born into this world belongs not only to a family but also to a community that shares responsibility for their wellbeing.
Our outreach in Damongo brought this principle to life. Mothers, healthcare workers, volunteers, donors, and community members came together with a shared purpose to ensure that mothers felt supported and newborns were welcomed with dignity and love.

Looking Ahead
The Damongo Outreach Project was more than an event. It was a celebration of compassion in action and a powerful reminder of what becomes possible when communities come together to care for one another. As we continue to grow, we remain committed to supporting more mothers, welcoming more newborns, and building stronger communities.
